Ooters at the mariner hotel

Delighted to have the venue reopened and the staff were all wonderfully welcoming. Child's menu with 3 courses for £5 is amazing value and food is really fine for this price point and very generous. (I actually think parents of little ones can nibble alongside the portions were that good). Would 100% recommend for chilled option for a drink whilst feeding kids. Given 2 or 3 nurseries within 60 seconds, this place should be packed! Will return!

I went for a meal with my family and was very impressed with the food. The menu was extensive and the huge portions were great value. You certainly don't leave feeling hungry! The staff were very friendly and were confident in dealing with dietary requirements. I'll definitely be back.

Another lovely evening at Ooters - the staff working the bar and restaurant were very friendly and welcoming as usual, and really attentive and helpful all evening; cocktails were really fun! Wine and food were great - we had a special chicken platter and nachos starters in the bar with our drinks; and then special ribs and macaroni pie for mains in the restaurant - all delicious very freshly made, and really big portions. Atmosphere is fun and very laid-back; quirky retro Elvis decor. They’ve also added a pool table since we were in last. Is also dog friendly now I saw so will be back soon with our pooches :)

Great value for money. The kids food was very good….my son was very happy with the burger and hotdog. The service was great, very attentive and friendly. It’s a pity that there was not more people there as it’s a great place for families.

I had the rump steak with curly fries and a pint of lemonade, great food and a nice and relaxing atmosphere. I do work as a mystery shopper quite often so find myself in a lot of different places and feel that from my experience that this would get a very high grade from me and as such would recommend to anyone. Portion sizes were large and I definitely didn't leave hungry!

Great to have this place back up and running. Went with 7 family members, young and old and was delighted with what we got, from very well priced drinks and food. The Food was great and the Staff very friendly and helpful. Early days but we will be back, any criticism would be the Restaurant was a Tad Chilly and food was served slowly meaning on a table of 7, by the time the last received their meal the first person was virtually finished. We all hope that any niggles will get ironed out, but we will be back. If you live in the area, pop in and supports our local business

A great little discovery For us chappies working away here, We've struggled finding a decent place to eat locally to our bed and breakfast without having to drive. Ooter's is a fantastic spot especially the bar section. The bar staff are always very helpful and keep the pints coming when you running low . If you're feeling hungry, this is the place to eat. All I can say is, you get fed . Quality come with the quantity too. Food is always hot on arrival. The best bit is they poor your beer into frozen glasses, every time .
